Its 100km away from Rio de Janeiro (less than two hours by car) and 20km from Itaipava.

Take Rodovia Washington Luis to Petrópolis. At the entrance to Petrópolis, just passing the “Casa do Alemão”, take a left at BR040 (Rio-Juiz de Fora).

After the second exit to Itaipava, continue 5km more and take exit Pedro do Rio/Secretário.

Just getting off the BR040 take a left following the sign “Secretário”.

Keep going for about 7km of paved road until you arrive at Secretário town.

At about 100 meters after the paved road is finished, take a left to Estrada da Rocinha (Rocinha Road).

Go straight for 6km until you reach Pousada das Águas.
